A Note from Nick & Cassandra

An announcement from Nick and Cassandra:

After almost seven years of producing award winning beers and meaningful contributions to our community, we have decided to pass the torch.
In starting Three Twenty Brewing, one of our goals was to grow with and within our community. We are proud of the welcoming space we have created and the connections we have formed with people, businesses and local organizations. The friendships we’ve made in our taproom have changed our lives in wonderful ways.

The decision to sell the brewery was not made lightly or quickly, and finding the right buyer for the business and the community was an important goal for us. This has been an incredible journey for our family. We are grateful for the people who make it so special. We are excited to share what we have built with a new business owner, allowing him to realize his dream and embrace the Pine City community.

We were thrilled to meet Lee Ankrum. He brings a decade of experience in the brewing industry, brewing at both LynLake Brewery and Dangerous Man Brewing Co in Minneapolis. Lee won a few bronze medals with Dangerous Man at both the prestigious World Beer Cup and the Honey Beer competition. As Lee puts it, “I love creating, I will never stop. It doesn’t really matter what it is. I want to make it. But, it turns out I’m the best at beer making” He can’t wait to live the smaller town life. "I’ll be hunting, fishing, golfing or cruising the county roads when I'm not brewing.”

We believe that this transition will not only preserve the legacy of Three Twenty Brewing Co., but also provide a unique chance for a new owner and brewer to bring fresh beers, ideas and inspiration to the business. Many things and staff will look the same at the taproom, but we are excited to see what new and innovative things Lee will bring. As we embark on this new phase, we look forward to seeing the brewery continue to thrive and be a beloved gathering place in Pine City,

The business will change hands mid March, followed by a short closure as the necessary licenses process.

This has been a wild, wonderful ride and we are so thankful for your support.

Join us for our Bon Voyage Brewery Celebration Weekend April 19-20th. The brewery plans to be open again for a fun summer full of great local beers on June 1st.
